Description
The course is a blended learning course consisting of face to face classroom learning, e-learning and face to face practical demonstrations and assessment.
Candidates must complete all of the units successfully in order to be eligible for assessment and must meet the minimum guided learning hours laid down by the awarding organisation, the Institute for the Motor Industry (IMI). The guided learning hours is currently 29 hours with 8 hours spent on practical elements. This is the amount of hours in total that it will take for you to be ready for assessment.
Your assessment will consist of a multiple choice test administered by the IMI and a practical MOT test observed by your assessor. Successful candidates will receive their Award in MOT testing for classes 4 and 7.
Once you have received your certificate, you may book your observed demonstration test with the DVSA and successful candidates will then be classed as fully qualified MOT testers.
